The Truth of the Word of God is foundational to our mission and God often uses His Word to direct us in our strategies for the future. In 2019, God revealed His heart to Mercy to expand outside of the UK and into the Isle of Man and further into Europe by emphasising the following passage in Isaiah 54:2
“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.”
2019 was the year Mercy spread out ‘to the right and to the left’, as it saw partners in the Isle of Man and Europe come forward and take the work of Mercy into their home countries.
Under the guidance of the governing entity Mercy Beyond (IOM registered charity 1279), Mercy Isle of Man has pursued the development of the Mercy brand, its resources and support services, within the Isle of Man.
Committed to empowering the body of Christ to walk in wholeness, strength, and freedom, we are doing this through building effective partnerships with all local churches from every denomination, irrespective of size, providing discipleship resources, people-helper training and advice and support services for those struggling with life controlling issues. We are committed to supporting Christians to navigate their lives with restored hope to live free and stay free.
